Cyron Jed Bejasa

Flute/Piccolo/Traverso Instructor

CYRON JED BEJASA   is a California Bay Area based musician with a versatile career as a freelance flutist and repair technician. As an orchestral musician, he has performed as principal flute with Orchestra Santa Monica, UC Berkeley Symphony Orchestra, Cal Baroque Ensemble, Burbank Summer Symphony, Video Games Live Orchestra, Los Angeles Youth Orchestra, and the Ojai Pops Orchestra. Cyron has appeared as a concerto soloist with the Pasadena City College Orchestra in 2017 and has performed in masterclasses with distinguished flutists such as Amy Porter, Jim Walker, Mark Sparks, Sergio Pallotelli, and Anne Diener Zentner. He is an active collaborator within the Los Angeles contemporary music scene having performed numerous world premiers including Arin Shahjahanian’s Sonata for Flute and Piano which was showcased at the Colburn School in 2018. He has also collaborated with American rapper, Kendrick Lamar on new music soon to be released. In 2022, Cyron performed in several of Europe's most prestigious concert halls including Vigadó Hall in Budapest, Slovak Radio Hall in Bratislava, Smetana Hall in Prague and Vienna's Musikverein.

In addition to performing, Cyron is passionate about teaching and is an advocate for diversity and accessibility in music education. He is the program coordinator and a founding member of Burbank Young Musicians, an organization that aims to provide music education to underserved communities through outreach programs, in-class tutoring, and performing ensembles. He is also an instructor for The Music Connection (TMC) which serves the Berkeley & Oakland Unified School Districts by providing free, supplemental music tutoring, and private lessons to students with financial hardships. Cyron has been recognized by the Music Teachers Association of California on numerous occasions for his engagements within his local musical communities.
