Expert services in instrument sales, repairs, rentals and private music lessons.
Repairs
Whether your instrument needs routine maintenance, repairs, or a complete restoration, our team of skilled technicians has the expertise to breathe new life into your beloved instrument.
As is the nature with repairs, we are unable to give a proper quote without seeing the instrument in person. To get your project on the calendar, send an email to info [at] windandbrassmusic.com (you might attach photos). You may also call 510-225-9547 for more info. Keep in mind, we are a very busy shop and, unfortunately, not every instrument is worth repairing. If this is the case with your instrument, we can help advise an alternative to repair.
You will find our location, contact info, hours, and transit directions on the "contact" tab.

We offer repairs for all brass and woodwind instruments:
Your instrument repair is in experienced and qualified hands.
Our shop
Since our doors opened in 2017, Wind & Brass has grown to become a cornerstone in the Bay Area musical community. Now, as one of the few remaining brick & mortar repair shops and instrument retail stores, we feel the need more than ever to support our community and our schools.
We are a team of repair technicians and musicians committed to proving a great experience through quality instrument repairs and purchases. We offer new, used, and vintage instruments for sale, instrument rentals, and also provide music lessons. Our repair shop can help assist you with the simplest to the most extensive repairs on your brass or woodwind instruments.
We have also become a drop off/re-distribution point for donated instruments that are looking to be placed into the hands of the right musician or school. If you have instruments to donate, please get in touch (information is on the "contact" tab). We can also provide appraisals for insurance or donation purposes ($40).

MORE INFORMATION
Instruments for Sale
We have a wide variety of instruments, mouthpieces, and accessories for sale. However, we don't sell instruments that are not worth fixing and that our repair shop does not enjoy working on. If you don’t find what you are looking for on our website, give us a call as we often have more inventory than what’s listed.
We sometimes buy or consign high-quality vintage instruments. If you're interested in consigning you might send an email with details and photos.
Rentals

At WIND & BRASS, we only offer high-quality rental instruments such as Yamaha, Buffet, B&S, and Powell-Sonare, to name a few.
At any time during your rental, you may choose to purchase the instrument and apply 80% of your monthly payments to the purchase.
As our primary business is instrument repair, you can be assured that all of our instruments will be in impeccable playing condition. If for any reason you require an adjustment within your rental period, just contact us and we will schedule your visit.
It helps us if you give us a call or an email in advance when you want to come pick up a rental so we can make sure and have it ready.
Lessons
All of our teachers are wonderful musicians who have a passion for teaching and creating musicians. Follow the "read more" link for more information on our teachers and what days of the week they're available. Rates and schedules are set by each teacher.

CLOSING 5:30 ON MON 5/25 MEMORIAL DAY
Mon-Fri: 12-7
Sat: 12-4*
You're welcome to drop off an instrument for repair any time. There is a brass technician but no woodwind technicians on Saturdays. Weekday evenings are mostly for pickups and dropoffs but likely no repair technicians present.
*We run on a somewhat limited capacity on Saturdays. No woodwind technicians will be available on Saturdays but you can of course bring woodwinds for repair and drop them off. For questions around rental billing you would have better luck sending an email, or calling on a weekday. If you anticipate needing something particular on a Saturday, you might get in touch with us during the week about it, and we can set things up to run more smoothly when you come in.
